General Warranty Policy
All barebone kits and systems (assembled by MITXPC) include a 1-year limited warranty. The warranty covers the product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year. Customer-induced damages (CID) due to abuse, misuse, accident, improper handling, neglect, alterations, or unauthorized repair or modifications will void warranty. Warranty servicing includes diagnostics and service work (repair, replacement and substitution as determined). Return authorization is required for all returns.
Individual peripherals and components are under warranty by the manufacturer, governed by their terms and policies. CID will void all expressed warranties.
Dead on Arrival
Please notify us of any product received Dead on Arrival (DOA) within 14 days of receiving. Beyond the 14-day period, your product will be treated under the general warranty policy. Please keep the product packaging, components, documents and accessories undamaged and intact.
All merchandise returned to MITXPC must have a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. The RMA number will allow you to check the status of your return. Please do not return any merchandise without a valid RMA number as it will be rejected.
To receive an RMA number, please contact our returns department (firstname.lastname@example.org) and provide the following information:

Detailed description of the problem
Troubleshooting steps taken (if applicable)
Return type: DOA, Refund, Exchange, Warranty Service
An RMA number will be issued within 24 hours (M-F) and remain valid for 30 days.
Please remember to include your RMA number when returning merchandise for any reason. The RMA number will determine how your return is handled and will also allow us to track the status of a return for any questions that you may have regarding it. Shipping fees will not be refunded or reimbursed. Restocking fees may apply.
Return for Refund
Eligibility: Within 30 days of receipt; no damage (superficial or otherwise) to the product, product packaging, components or accessories. Once eligibility has been established, the refund will be issued within 2-3 business days to the original payment source.
Return for Exchange
Eligibility: Within 30 days of receipt; no damage (superficial or otherwise) to the product, product packaging, components or accessories. Once eligibility has been established, arrangements for the exchange will be made as well as any payment balance cleared.
The product will be bench tested for diagnostics. Our technicians will determine the cause for issue and will have components repaired or replaced at their discretion. Testing will be performed before the units are given a clean bill of health and prepared for return shipping. The technician in charge will reach out to you if your input is required. The estimated turnaround time for a warranty service will be 2-4 weeks.
All system kits and systems may be subject to 15% restocking fees and used components may be subject to 10% restocking fees.
Products and components that are damaged (CID) will not be eligible for refund, exchange or warranty service.
The following products cannot be returned (not all inclusive):

- Clearance items
